Privacy

The short version. FLOWR stores your settings and the date you installed it, in your own browser. It does not collect your browsing history, your listening history, or anything that identifies you. Payments are handled by Stripe and never pass through the extension.

What FLOWR stores

Everything below is kept in Chrome's own extension storage on your device. Some of it syncs between your own Chrome profiles if you have Chrome sync turned on. None of it is sent to me.

Your settings. Blend, Trim, Lead, Wash, Smart Outro, and whether FLOWR is switched on.
An install date. Used to work out how many days of the 7-day Pro trial are left.
A cached purchase status. Whether this browser has an active Pro purchase, so FLOWR keeps working when it cannot reach the internet.
A count of transitions. A number that goes up each time FLOWR smooths a track change. It never leaves your browser.

What FLOWR does not collect

Your browsing history
What you listen to, or any track names, playlists or search terms
Your name, email address or payment details
Analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind

FLOWR runs only on music.youtube.com. It has no access to any other site you visit.

Checking your purchase

To know whether you have bought Pro, the extension contacts ExtensionPay, the service that handles purchases for it. This happens roughly every three hours, when you open the popup, and for a few minutes right after you start a purchase.

ExtensionPay receives an anonymous identifier for your installation and, if you have bought Pro, the email address you used at checkout. It does not receive your settings or anything about what you listen to. Their privacy policy is at extensionpay.com/privacy.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and are never seen by, or passed through, the extension or this website. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

I can see that a purchase happened and the email address attached to it, so that I can provide support and issue refunds. I cannot see card numbers.

This website

This page and the home page are static. There are no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. The demo audio plays entirely in your browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of serving that request, the same as on any site using their fonts.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling FLOWR removes everything it stored on your device. If you want your purchase record deleted as well, email me and I will remove it from Stripe and ExtensionPay.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and the update will be mentioned in the extension's release notes.
